Questions
What people ask before booking
How much does tick and mosquito control cost?
It depends on the yard: how much of it borders woods, how many visits you want and how easy it is to get around. You get a written number for the season before any work starts, and the page on pricing explains each part.
How often do I need service?
For ticks, three visits a season: late May, mid-July and late September. Mosquito visits run every three to four weeks from June to September. You can choose ticks only, mosquitoes only or both.
Is it safe for kids and pets?
I can't promise that, and nobody should. A licensed applicator follows the product label. After each visit I text you which areas to keep children and pets out of and for how long, usually until the treated area is dry. Ask for the label and product list before the first visit.
How long until I see results?
Many yards have fewer ticks within a few weeks, but it varies with the woods edge, the weather and what the neighbors do. No treatment removes every tick or every mosquito.
Does treating the yard prevent Lyme disease?
No. A treatment aims to reduce ticks where you live and play. Checking yourself, your children and your pets after time outside matters just as much. For a bite or symptoms, talk to your doctor; the Maine CDC publishes current guidance.
Do I need to be home?
No. I need gate access and a plan for pets. I text you when I arrive and when I'm done.
What if ticks or mosquitoes come back between visits?
Call or text within 30 days of a visit and I'll come back and re-treat the same zones at no charge. It covers treated areas only, once per visit, and changes after the walk-through, like a new brush pile or cleared woods, can void it.
Is there a contract?
No long contract. You agree to a season in writing and can stop after any visit; the visits you've had are paid for, the rest are not.
Do you handle ants, mice or termites?
No. I treat ticks and mosquitoes outdoors only. If you have something else, I'll tell you what kind of company to call.
Didn't find yours?
Text or call and I will answer in plain words.
